Activiste chevronné, danYdan est le fondateur du webzine Drum-Bass.net et de la webradio Timeless Inspiration qui diffusent à grand renfort de vinyles des sons allant du broken beat au future jazz en passant par la drum & bass. C’est sans doute l’un des Dj’s les plus impliqués par la scène élecro locale qu’il promotionne à travers ses projets et ses nombreuses collaborations avec des artistes comme Nu Tropic, Steppah Huntah, Pablo Valentino, Tal Stef et No Stress, etc...
Drum-Bass.net has started its activities on the web since early 2000. From this moment, all the new rhythmic experimentations (broken beat, hip hop, future jazz, drum’n’bass...) were welcome in the place, and it has defended with passion the birth of the east of France broken beat and nu jazz scene, with artists like Nu Tropic (spotted on Comet and Compost) or Steppah Huntah, dj’s like globetrotter Pablo Valentino and labels as Soultronik and Faces Records.
TimelessInspiration.com is the twin website which adds the music to the text of Drum-Bass.net with a weekly radioshow hosted by danYdan, or some local guests in the mix. Follow-up in the whole world and more particularly by the French and American public. TimelessInspiration.com was voted by sites all around the world such as BrokenBeatRadio.com (Philadelphia/USA), Vanilliamania.com (New York/USA), DanceandSoul.com (Singapour/Asia), Global House Connection (Germany), Department Deluxe radio (Germany), Migration radio (Serbia), and Right On-Fm (Nancy/Metz/France). Supported by 4Hero messageboard, Bugz In The Attic forum and Acid Jazz forum. And by some artists/djs like Moonstarr and Dialect (Public Transit recordings/Canada), Paul Murphy (Afro Art/UK), Painè (Compl8/Italy), David Borsu (Counterpoint/Belgium), Jack Launer (Jacques Laverne/UK), Phil Curl Curl (Compost/Germany), Paul pH5.5 (Aerodynamico/Scotland) and Nu Tropic (Compost/Comet/France).
